Hamilton

Wow who the fuck are these cultural giants taking the serious and overwhelming aspects away from musicals and making them enjoyable. After my partner forcing me to slog through tonnes of musicals written in the same time signature, with the same distinctly musical sound and rhythm, and same feel of a musical, hamilton stands alone to me in how utterly engaging and loveable all the characters are. I learnt a lot and I love it but full disclaimer my partner and her team of Melbourne musical elitists hate this musical and how much it derives from the formula. Special mention to Daveed Diggs from Clipping and that Andy Samberg movie oh and that guy literally spitting playing king george.
