Audition

I’m starting to regret my recent foray into J-horror because the last fifteen minutes of this had me physically folded into myself. Not what I expected. A genre-bender that works almost entirely by misleading its audience. The fantastic dream sequences are particularly effective if you enjoy sustained psychological distress. The ending is unforgettable.  Ladies, watch this on a first date!
