Gummo

Gonna take a minute to gather my thoughts on this. It’s not hard to see why it turns so many people off — I don’t think you can fully appreciate this film if you’re not a bit nihilistic or desensitized yourself. I’ll say this, though: to reject this film for its ugliness is like missing the forest for the trees. Anyway. Could very well be one of my new favorite films. I’ll let future-me decide after ruminating on this for a little longer.
