Together
For me, most modern horror movies Fall into one of two categories:
1. Underground/ arthouse
2. Shocker
There are high quality productions with good ideas and proper marketing which are pretty accessible to mainstream audiences, but I find them to often fall short in the same way:
It's 1,5 hours of building suspense with very similar jump scares, very similar music and very similar sounds before revealing a "twist" we already know because of our capabilities of reading movie titles and can't explore their ambiguous premise in the last 30 minutes properly. So they are basically shockers for 1,5 hours.
That's also the reason I've stopped watching modern horror movies mostly, I just can't bother to watch the same nun/ ghost/ demon/ ai/ cult (/...) over and over, and there is only that much underground and arthouse you can be in a mood for.
This movie has an ambiguous concept, reveals it in the first few minutes, goes on to introduce and threaten the main characters in the first 30 minutes and then simply explores the body and social horror for the remaining runtime.
It can be so simple, right? Nothing to criticise really.
