The Departed

favorite actors series (leo DiCaprio performances ranked) - press here Leo’s best performance imo, and top 3 scorsese I think this has the best ending to any of his work and I think, even though he won an Oscar nom, , mark wahlberg gives a very underrated supporting performance. The thing I really like about this film is how it flicks between the two characters Billy (Leo DiCap) and Colin (Matt Damon) and the contrast it shows of the two but also the similarities. The film becomes more intense as it goes on, culminating in an epic finale that completely surprised me. The song choices fit perfectly with the film's location and mood, and the dialogues are sharp, funny, and the actors give them a natural sound. Some of the lines are especially hysterical, especially those given to Wahlberg, Baldwin, and Nicholson, which makes the suspense and serious tone more enjoyable. From start to finish The Departed is excellent with its twists, drama and humor. Overall The Departed is one of the the 2000s and in general one of the best films I have ever watched and if you haven't watched it yet your missing out. truly a cinematic masterpiece.
