knew specific shit about this after finding it as a comparing piece to old literature (shout out DE Lit) plus i knew about the manga but decided to not read that shit because I didnt wanna do the work/ I wanted to watch the movie but I see the comparisons.
Heroes Journey, Revenge, human psychology, deconstruction of human nature, grief, guilt, the power of choice, the idea of pain and how it affects someone, and just enough incest (any amount) for you to say ew thats alot of incest. There are so many raw ass quotes in this movie, the direction, cinematography, fight choreo, writing and acting are incredible. Probably my favorite parts of this movie is that it shows you shit you and characters feel you shouldn't be seeing both literally and figuratively AND its ability to not only portray but create an emotion in a scene and make you feel it.
This movie has some random ass funny moments btw
