i think that the way to break the curse is to accept your desire publicly. the entity or curse may still exist, but it becomes powerless. kind of like how in the end they were 'out' on the bus, and the entity could do nothing but watch from the distance. but i also choose to believe they learn to recognize the look of love in each others eyes, vs the desire alone the entity lures them in with.
