The Shining
The atmosphere of this film just radiates off the screen. Stephen King has stated that part of the reason he hates this movie because he thinks it’s too cold and not emotionally resonate, but I would personally argue that the emotional resonance comes from how cold the film actually is. In my opinion, it is a masterpiece.
