Thunderbolts*
Never in my life did I think a bunch of D and E list sidekicks and villains trying to stop a C list antihero from the comics would tell one of the most heart wrenching depression metaphors I have seen in years. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to actually critically analyze this movie. The writing was cheesy and some of the jokes were flat. The plot was fast and the characters come together a little abruptly. But the way they all are dealing with their depression, the way they all are there for each other? All of that is well written. You can tell more than one writer in that room has depression.

The climax ends with the characters literally coming together to stop one of the heroes from beating on the dark twisted version of himself (his depression) by basically hugging him and telling him they are here for him and he is not alone. They literally battle against the manifestation of his doubts and his belief that he is unlovable and show him they care about him.
