Perfect Blue
I decided to do this review before I watched an analysis video against my better judgment but oh well. The one thing that stood out to me the most is just how much of a grip Satoshi Kon had on me the whole film. It felt like every twist and turn was planned just so that when I thought I knew where he was going he flipped it again. The story was also phenomenal. This film has so many layers to it is unbelievable. From the story itself to what the story means is just so good. This movie has really only gotten scary with time. Also I wish there were more horror animated movies. It feels like they should go hand in hand especially a 3d animation, but unfortunately there’s a serious lack of these types of films.
