Insane amounts of aura leaking from every single scene. There was literally not one bad performance. Danny fucking Trejo killed it with like 3 scenes. The mom of Waingro's victim had me tearing up and she was there for like 30 seconds. Al Pacino and De Niro deliver all time performances. I felt bad for their scene mates. The sets n shots were dope. The score was fire. This is literally like finding the biggest vein of diamonds that just never ends. There just isn't much to hate on. You'd have to try to hate this movie to not at the very least enjoy it. The scene where De Niro feels that heat coming and books it (pausing to contain myself)... I was just nodding and saying "yeah" over and over. Just peak scene after peak scene man. I usually don't like gun play but this was just generational. There is never pointless action. Everything is done for a purpose no filler. If you even somewhat like crime shit this is a must watch. Seeing as I'm the last person ever to see it i think ppl already know that tho.

Hits notes that have been played before, but does it better. Your enemy is you. The evil of war they say is human nature. Thin Red Line asks just about every question of man and war. It does not answer these for you it just poses the questions. The backdrop for our questionnaire is extremely beautiful. Some of the shots are just so pretty and well timed you'd think Malick had mother nature on payroll. Instead of forced dialogue that soldiers would never have we get thoughts. These thoughts are the soul of the movie and quite possibly the best way to go about posing the questions he wants to ask. The acting was top notch. Nick Nolte was electric. Everyone else was good too just not as good. A lot of different emotions here. You cry a little you smile other times. A very good watch if you have plenty of free time.

I genuinely don't get the hype. what did I miss? It wasn't thought provoking. The twist wasn't that crazy. Especially when the tell you 30 minutes before they tell you in plain Korean. Then they tell the entire story again. It was obviously that they were both hypnotized, but it did take me a minute to pick up on the incest thing. It looked really nice and the acting was good despite a mediocre script. I'm very much a novice, but i feel very comfortable saying that the movie felt like a really good pitch was thrown in to a "make this mid machine" and spit out. Was it disturbing? for about a minute when homeboy played the sex tape for him. Lee was the saving grace of this film. It feels like I'm missing something. I was waiting for the movie to hit and it just never did. Limmie know if i'm brain dead or if everyone else was in a group chat and yall just agreed to glaze this.

All time vibes movie. The music? Heat. The action? Fire. The style? immaculate. Tony Leung stunts on em for 126 minutes. He has so much (for lack of a better term) aura. Some of the best character writing in an action movie ever. Every character that had more than 3 lines you care about them. You have to go to the 11th actor billed (on letterboxd) to find someone who didn't kill it (sorry machine gunman in teahouse). Teresa Mo and Kwan Hoi were standouts. Uncle Hoi had barely any screen time and when his death come along I truly cared and could feel his betrayal. Teresa was just so loveable and funny. She played a perfect love interest who wasn't just there for that sole propose. of course Chow Fat (insane name) was killer too. A must watch action movie for anyone who even somewhat enjoys the genre.
