A Teacher
This is a hard one to really review, the subject matter isn’t one I particularly enjoyed learning about & the positioning as an audience meant we were meant to support this relationship in places. After the 6th episode it feels a little less interested by their relationship and more into the effects their relationship had which I personally enjoyed more.
Towards the end of the show, in the moments where we see Eric understand his vulnerability in the hands of Claire felt like important television, educational while still being entertaining.
Their relationship was believable and Kate Mara and Nick Robinson were the reason for that. Technically it was all done brilliantly, and with a tighter script or maybe a more empathetic storyline it would have worked more as it felt cold within the writing often.
Side Note: What the fuck is the soundtrack for this show man! It’s a hot mess of a NOW CD
