I think knowing none of the lore except for the picture really bit me. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the hell outta it, the camera angles go crazy, some of the shots were insane, the design, the tension, 10/10.  Not really scary but I did enjoy the sense of dread and emptiness coming outta the theater
