can y'all see the trend in movies i've been watching this week? lol anyways, i actually can't tell if i love or hate this film because of how much elvis enraged me. i also couldn't stop thinking about their age gap the whole time. idk maybe i'll rewatch because the acting was pretty good and i loved the visuals of the film.

just want to preface by saying, i wish i would have done some research on the director before going to see this movie in theatres because then i would have pirated it instead. despite the director being a complete pos, it was an amazing film to watch in theatres. i loved the casting for dracula and elisabeta. their chemistry felt authentic and passionate. you can't say that the romance in this film was not impeccable. you fell in love with their story in the first 15 minutes and it was just enough to add depth and understanding to dracula's heartbreak and yearning. i was entranced by this film but that could also be my admiration for anything dracula related. unfortunately, there were a couple plot points that did not make sense to me but a quick google search at the end cleared them up. overall, i thoroughly enjoyed this take on dracula and would recommend if you want a devastating love story.

heard it was a wattpad adaptation and had to watch but holy shit, this was so bad and i knew it was going to be yet tubi reels me in every time

*“i cannot live without my life! i cannot live without my soul!”* after the 2026 release i had to go back to the roots and wow ralph fiennes, the actor you are! he is amazing in every role. this adaptation is not the best one but it’s still FAR better than fennell’s. i love how much dialogue they took from the book! however, they should’ve had a younger actor play teen heathcliff rather than fiennes who ends up playing the younger and older version. i don’t mind this adaptation and think the performances were phenomenal!
