Loki
Season 1
“I know what I am… a villain.” — Loki
This isn’t just another superhero story it’s about identity, purpose, and breaking out of the role you’ve been given. Loki is forced to confront himself in ways the MCU hadn’t explored before, and that introspection gives the show real depth.
The TVA introduces a completely new layer to the MCU time, control, and the illusion of free will. It’s weird, sometimes complex, but always engaging.
Sylvie brings emotional weight and challenges Loki in a way no one else really has, pushing his development further. Their dynamic is central to the story and adds a more personal core.
The finale, with He Who Remains, completely shifts everything. It turns a contained story into something much bigger and sets up the future of the multiverse.
It’s slower and more dialogue-driven, but that focus on ideas and character is exactly what makes it stand out.
Strange, smart, and surprisingly deep.
