A Complete Unknown
I’m not a bob dylan fan so i kept off watching this for the longest time but i loved every minute of it.
It’s so unapologetic in the way that only bob is and in that sense it already succeeded. They showed him as the pretentious self centered prick he is (and i’m saying this in the least hateful way possible) and I really liked that.
The film achieved something that most biopics aim for but fail: it was immersive. The decision to showcase a handful of influential artists who befriended him during that time is what made the movie whole and helped it be immersive. I felt like i was teleported back to the 60s.
Amazing performance by almost everyone but the johnny cash guy… i might be too much of a johnny superfan but i didn’t like the accent or voice. You could stand on any corner in vegas, throw a rock and hit at least 3 people who could do a better job. But anyways! His appearance was a nice surprise!
Loved the songs and loved chalamet, he really embodied bob dylan. I highly recommend this one
