Obsession
Absolutely shocked and pleased with what this film did to me. Might be the most unsettling movie I have watched in my entire life. The creativity was among the best horror films I have ever watched. I haven’t felt chills like that in years. Inde Navarrette may have just become a big star as she was the standout performance of the movie. Her ability to make incredibly tense and terrifying moments was not lost on me.
The cinematography in this film was also amazing. The feeling of unease in so many of the shots, whether it was by holding a shot for long enough to feel creepy, or the set and camera angles just giving you a sense of dread as if it was telling you look here but still catching you by surprise. I do not cover my eyes for horror movies but I felt the need to look away at many moments in the best way possible. I hope Curry Barker has a long and successful career as I will be at every movie he makes. Standout movie of the year in my opinion so far.
