This film surprised me. I went in knowing very little about it, and watched it mostly because I want to see Predator: Badlands. That being said, this was a very solid movie. One thing I loved about the original Predators movie that this film also did well was the incredibly smart decision-making by the protagonist. All too often the characters in these types of films make stupid, unrealistic decisions which ultimately take away from the quality of the movie. The character development also worked well in the film and added depth. Trachtenberg did a great job directing and I’m excited to see his next works.

This was a solid film that put an emphasis on the core of the Predator franchise. It displayed the raw passion and pride the creatures have for killing the toughest and most resilient warriors. I thought the film did a great job of showing how although they can be beaten, it takes immense dedication and intellect, and the predators will still have the last laugh in the end. One aspect I especially enjoyed was the tie-ins to Trachtenberg’s previous Predator film, Prey. Overall this was a very entertaining addition to the Predator franchise, and it was able to portray the essence of these creatures very well.

I have been wanting to watch the Indiana Jones films for a while and I finally got around to starting them. This was a great film with some top notch action scenes and some good old fashioned nazi killing. What stood out to me most was Spielberg's use of shadows. He utilized them perfectly and heightened the levels of the scenes they were in. It created contrast and a unique perspective towards the situation. I found the decision-making to be unreliable and erratic at times, but it was still very entertaining nonetheless.

This film is about identity and societal (and personal) pressures on the way a person acts and expresses themselves. This theme becomes more and more prevalent as the film goes on, and delivers a strong and concentrated message that doesn't beat around the bush. I enjoyed the film and its plot was unique, entertaining, and had a surprising and intriguing twist.
