Once again im saying this: Don’t fuck with Haim’s legacy. This movie was just made for me with the mess of it all. I still have yet to see people shoutout the editing but that was probably one of my favorite things about this movie really. Reminds me of the editing in Jean Marc Valee’s (R.I.P.) Sharp Objects and Big Little Lies where there were plenty of cuts that could have been messy but instead were very impactful and affective in driving the tone for those scenes. I love me a jump cut. As for the movie itself, I love this tweet I saw earlier that said this was probably Gen Z’s first actual adult film which is fun to think. It’s nice to see a movie discuss morality politics and have that surround love, something we value and all wish to find in our lives. I loved the ending for what it is in that moment when thinking about the people we want to stick with forever. I loved this movie’s sense of humor and self-awareness, I appreciate the callout to the double standards society makes about certain things regarding people and social topics since that probably is the most frustrating thing we are going through atm (especially is you’re chronically online). A fun movie that feels very relevant and makes me wonder how this will age as time goes on.

A nuke was being struck upon rewatch goddamn. I love love. Watched this with mom and she a mess now like its that serious guys im never turning on Celine Song ever. Just such a thought-provoking movie that doesn't do too much or less with what its trying to say which I adore. I believe that’s why it feels so authentic as a movie. We have this heartbreaking situation and the characters just have to find out how to move forward with this because of the path life chose for them. The real life factors that drift them apart being the problem but not exactly the antagonist is frustrating but refreshing to see portrayed in a movie rather than it being complained about and therefore finding a solution. It just is and you can’t even be mad; it’s not even a bad thing but it can hurt so bad that you can’t help but wonder what the different outcomes could have been in another life. Ughhhh tear me apart.

No one told me Tarantino had this legendary serve of a movie under his belt. Cars, pretty girls, adrenaline, and violence i loved it all. I really do be fucking with the Tarantino movies yall it just gives me that good rush.
