Enys Men
Spectacular. So brazen and unapologetic with its arthouse sensibilities, so open to endless amounts of interpretation. Features some fantastic cinematography that’s always perfectly symmetrical and purposeful, there’s never a wasted shot, never a wasted moment. Every frame a painting type shit.
Based on my own idea of the movie, this was so terrifying and heartbreaking.
I’d compare this to Antrum in the idea it feels like a lost 70s movie recently unearthed, mixed with a Synecdoche New York, with how I interpreted this movie’s plot. Such a great experience, can’t believe I’ve been so hesitant to watch it, so worth it.
