Beautiful Boy
I’ve been putting this movie off for a long time because I knew it would be a hard watch for me and it was. This was one of the better depictions of an addict I’ve seen in film and the effects of drugs cause not only to them but the people around them. Having an addict in the family and this movie kind of reopening those memories made it very difficult to get get through, the last 30-40 minutes was very hard on the heart but I think that’s what makes this movie so beautiful is the realistic pain and emotional suffering it depicts. Just every component from the tremendous acting by Steve and Timoththee and some of the gorgeous yet heartbreaking scenes truly just made this movie a special experience.
If anyone out there is struggling or knows someone who is help is there. drugs are truly an epidemic I wish was shed more light upon so people could get the help they need. PLEASE if you know anyone who is struggling with addiction help them, don’t think it’s something they can do on there own they need you and the people they love to bring back that beautiful person they are meant to be
