Enjoyable watch! The most comic book movie ive ever seen. The plot and explanations in this movie are all so fantastical and weird in a way that many other superhero movies shy away from. There might be a little too much James Gunn humor in here, but overall this movie unapologetically is about our man of tomorrow and the camp and corniness involved (in a good way). Makes me excited for what comes next!

Man I was a little scared about this movie as Celine Song’s second movie but it was very good! Both of her movies have come out at the right time for me, teaching different lessons about love and yearning. These movies should be mandatory for anyone who wants to have a relationship not even joking. The way Celine can depict realistic and human relationships in these movies is phenomenal. The characters are well written, and there’s never a villain to hate or dislike, just human characters trying to get what they want and realizing what they need. Characters say things that most movies try to glamorize, but here it’s genuine and honest and vulnerable. The movie also looks incredible with some amazing wider shots as well as AMAZING silences that say so much between characters. I already want to see it again. Phenomenal movie. Many of the critiques this movie might get are from the people who thirst over Pedro Pascal and Chris Evans and go on their phone during the movie. There are some awkward lines but overall, this movie is phenomenal and even more than that, it says something useful and important in today’s culture. Go watch it!

To be honest the first third of this movie is pretty wack with not the best pacing or characterization of Jyn. But the third act is so good with high energy and very good turns and twists of victory and failure. Andor, which proceeds the show chronologically is a masterclass at writing, and the ending that this movie gives him is heartbreaking due to and because of the show. This movie has high highs and low lows, but because of Andor. I have to give it this high of a score.

I really liked this movie, the way that it uses horror and history to tell a story that at some level flew over my head was amazing. Go watch this movie.
