Memento
It’s movies like this that really make you wonder what’s going on in the director’s head.
Why was it filmed backwards?
Why was some of it in black and white?
And because it’s filmed backwards, you end up learning both less and more about the story at the same time.
I can’t describe in words how great of a director Christopher Nolan is.
Each one of his films is a poetic masterpiece — no matter the budget, big or small.
This movie already has you eagerly waiting to see what’s next.
You get confused, then start to put the pieces together… then you’re confused again.
And it’s movies like that which make us want to rewatch them — to see what we missed, or what suddenly makes sense the second time around.
Messing with time, logic, and your brain.
