Scream

I hadn’t watched this film in so long, and I’m glad I rewatched it. It’s so much better than I remember. I remembered the ending, but that’s about it. It basically felt like watching it for the first time again. I wasn’t planning on rewatching these films, but my uncle wants me to see the 7th one in theatre with him, so I might as well rewatch 1 through 6. It’s an amazing take on horror—I love the meta lens. It’s just an overall fun film that’s serious, but it doesn’t take itself too seriously, if that makes sense. Love the needle drops. Maybe there’s some overuse of Dutch angles, but that’s commentary on how horror movies overuse them, so it’s a good choice.
