Perfect Blue
What an insane watch. I have so much to say but my thoughts aren't in order. The whole identity crisis through out the movie is magnificent, the persona Mimi portrays and how it begins to seep into her character, and how as she tries to break away from it, she also breaks away from her own sense of identity because how interconnected she was with that self; as well as the expectations of fans who expect her to only be that role/persona and for it to be the true self and anything else would be a lie/disgrace to the idea they had of the person. I love how reality begins to warp around her as she begins to lose track of what is real and what isn't because of how she steps away from what she wanted to do. 10/10 must rewarch
