Beijing Watermelon

Outside of his movie 'House' this director really made some of the greatest movies ever it seems. Japan-China friendship indeed. An incredibly down to earth film. Bengal and Masako's faces look so earthly, they flow like water. It hurts to stare at faces of really kind and humble people sometimes and this movie does that tenfold. Masako really had a powerful performance.. maybe the greatest supporting actress role I have ever seen so far. This movie does not need to be gatekept or whatever this needs to reach as many people as it can. I know this will be a movie I will appreciate throughout the remainder of my life.
