Wow. I am speechless, I've never seen a film like this. Most movies you'll see have extras, they are mostly used in a way to create realistic environments. This movie on the other hand, while it does boast a number of people on screen, I don't think a single one of them would qualify as a extra. Every single person on screen is doing something. It's like synchronized swimming, every person has a purpose, and when they're all in/on the water/screen it creates something beyond what any single person could complete.
Silent films were a thing of the past by the time this came out, and while this movie is by no means silent, it captures the curiosity, comedy, and joy of it all, and Jaques Tati elevates it to a level so great that I could be emersed in the world for the rest of my life. This movie has secured it's self a solid place in my top 10 movies, and I'd recommended this to everyone who has a pair of eyes.
