*fucked up.* **holy shit.** as if the concept of the z-eyes *(literally having a built-in smartphone IN YOU)* is not enough, white christmas proceeds to give us more dark and twisted shit with its stories. first of all, matt…he’s sick…like fuck what the hell… however, i do wonder if he was ever bothered by his job at first, and you know, just became numb as time went on. or if he’s really just one sick guy as he appears to be in this episode. i did not like joe *(the way he spoke to beth during that scene threw me off no empathy for him after that idgaf if she cheated on him i still do not like him) *but i do agree that the whole cookie thing was barbaric. ‘cause yeah it may be a code, but it’s still someone’s consciousness. honestly, every technological concept introduced here were all scary like damn. IMAGINE BEING BLOCKED IRL…the psychological impact that could do to people is insane *(on the bright side it is useful for blocking weird and evil people)*. the reveal in joe’s story and matt’s fate were all so 🤯 that was a good watch! *side note: the name smartelligence cracked me up real good i’m sorry i literally had to pause for a while just to laugh 😭 loved how it managed to sound so witty and not at the same time (for me!)*

definitely one of the most interesting technological concepts introduced by black mirror. *imagine having an actual storage for your memories*…being able to replay, pause, and *heck*—you can even present it on a screen and zoom in. ALL IN HIGH DEFINITION! **holy shit would that be a nightmare. overthinking would reach a whole other level. *destructive, for sure.*** *btw, jonas was indeed a knob. he was so fucking insufferable.*

had the potential to be a heartbreaking episode, but was (for me) immediately ruined by the character introduction. i just wish they made the real ash more likable (for the viewers)…maybe it would’ve hit so much better. humans and human relationships are complex of course, and there may be more to it… *(especially considering how the ai only learned ash’s personality through social media where humans appear to always be happy and perfect—then fast forward to martha’s complaints about how ash wouldn’t do this, ash wouldn’t react like that)* …but that **personally** made me struggle to feel for martha. *don’t get me wrong, the portrayal of grief was GOOD!* still such a scary concept to think of. and hell, what do you mean he was just there…in the attic…FOR YEARS…obviously a parallel for what real ash mentioned earlier in the episode but damn that’s unsettling!
