*Obsession* is uncomfortable. All the hair on the back of my head stood up during some key moments. When Abby said this was the most discomfort she has felt in a theatre in while I would have to agree. I think from a directing (I know nothing) point of view, and cinematography (I know little) point of view it felt immature at times and this hurt my immersion. Every time I would start to draw in there would be a thing I’d notice about the framing or the directing that felt wrong but not in a horror off kilter way designed to make me uncomfortable, just strange choices. TLDR: Good! Go see it and wiggle around in your seat.

What an experience. I’m not sure if this helps or hurts the claim that Nick Cage is an incredible actor. The performance is incredibly consistent and so so silly.
