Yi Yi
a tender tale that treats ordinary everyday life as something quietly devastating, Yi Yi is the most human film i’ve ever seen. a perfect photograph of a curious childhood, a callow adolescence, and an unfulfilling adulthood. it completely lived up to my expectations, and i can absolutely understand why it holds such a high spot on the letterboxd top 250.
