Citizen Kane

I’ve been putting this review off for ever because I couldn’t decide if this was a 4.5 or a 5. But goodness was it spectacular. To start, so much incredible cinematography. Gregg Toland and Orson Welles understood eachother, and with that made every single shot beautiful.  Then the makeup design. Kane and all the other characters Kirk Susan Alexander for example were aged impeccably. It was really really really impressive. Orson Welles did an incredible acting job too, making sure his character had so much depth.  At 25 years old.  I feel like I could rewatch this movie over and over. The first thing I wanted to do the first time I watched it was watch it again. I don’t know why. I just did. I’m really on the fence, but I think I’m going to do it and if I change it well I change it. 5/5
