“I can't afford to hate people. I don't have that kind of time.” Ikiru can be translated into two different phrases. 1. Living Or 2. To Live. I think that #2 is a much better translation, as Living is much more different than To Live. Living to me is breathing and the active state of being alive. To Live is to experience, and to do the things you want to be alive for. To find your purpose and go after it. Just like Kanji in this movie, we are need to find the thing that makes us want to be alive, and go all in, before it’s too late. Find your purpose. 5/5
