Cure

Perfect film. So scary and so eerie without ever trying to hard. In some sequences - the entire second part of the film to be fair - you’re gasping for air while being meticulously captivated. Cure purposefully matches the subjects of this film, hypnosis and quite frankly, death, to this feeling. This is done so unbelievably well that I’m staggered that this film is only now getting the recognition it deserves. Without exaggeration, my favourite ‘horror’ film of all time.
