Buffalo '66
"you kidnapped me. you pulled my hair, you threatened me. i just went in there in and did you a favor and i thought i did a good job."
୨୧ this movie touched me in such a personal way. i think i never watched such a true movie, it is a real poetic and realistic movie, at least for me.
lots of people literally relates to layla so much, but they only don't know yet. "oh but he kidnapped her", yes, he was a monster, he was there just arguing with layla and she was like "oh i love you". that's something really sad, she had all her emotions on a man that literally hated her.
buffalo 66' doesn't really match as a movie that everyone waits for. in a movie, everything needs to make sense and it shows how people really act — sometimes people don't really want to the directors to say what they feel. layla always wanted to be good for him, when he was abusive and such a bad guy. he was showing some emotions, but he couldn't see it. it's the kind of love where we deposit all our feelings and never withdraw anything.
anyways, the acting is really fine, and the edit of it is so pretty ♡ this is my new comf movie!
