Parasite
This film is incredible, the story is told in such an entertaining way, it looks like one of a kind. Everything is so well made I would't know where to start.
Production design as an example of a technical work here is done so meticulosly that you will explore this house along with the characters. The camera's placing helped to built this realistic world.
Also, this is probably one of the best directed movies of this year.
Bong Joon-Ho wants to express himself by a socio-analisis of Korea through the dialectic, clashing rich and poor as modern life would do.
The focus is put on the systemic violence, the exploitation of the poor, the desperation carried by them because of a very unfair system that reseems a rat race. Capitalism is almost blind towards the ones who suffer the most, and that's the true horror of this socio-economic system. It's an unbeatable game were if you are at the bottom, your chances are you are going to live there your whole life most likely. You can only replace people with comfort dragging them down, as the very rigid system of status quo.
But there is this constant class conflict between bourgeoisie and proletariat all along the movie, with elements like the "smell of the poor", the anxiety of fight for your job. The scene of the consequences of rain gaves us also this contrasting view.
Technically perfect and amazing in terms of storytelling and attention to details. It's a brilliant work as a whole, that is driven by its incredible social criticism.
