Gladiator
A masterpiece, movies simply aren’t color-graded like this anymore, epic in scale and shot. Depicts the intricacies of power and how it belongs in the hands of those who don’t envy it. It symbolizes well how it flows with the will of the people, not those who wield it. Feels like an ultimate clash of morals, with the altruistic yet reluctant leadership of Maximus against the conniving and sniveling style of Commodus, with the end result reaching almost biblical proportions of good versus evil. Supporting characters have fulfilling arcs in their fight against tyranny, with great performances all around. Certainly a classic.
