Baby Driver

this movie is so good i could go on for hours about all the details that make it. the fact that the soundtrack isn't just fucking amazing, it is a part of the action including every last beat of the driving or shooting or parkour scenes being done to the song, it shapes the environment literally, it foreshadows the plot (can't have a rainbow without a little rain) or explicitly says what the characters are feeling in that moment (nowhere to run to, baby). because of how intrinsic music is on even the tiniest beat, like the not-quite-dead cop's fingers matching the rewind sound effect at the end of the tequila shootout, this movie is quite like a musical.
