Thunderbolts*
In every marvel movie there are two questions you must ask after watching. Was this a good marvel movie, and was this a good movie? The Thunderbolts* is both. This movie weaves together a genuinely thoughtful movie about grief and what it means to be a person going through life. Someone who has done bad but wants to atone for their behavior. The concepts of being greater than we are come up often. On the flip side, these serious issues are cut by a genuinely delightful comedic performance from David Harbour. These serious themes are balanced by comedy which refuses to over stay its welcome.
As for this as a marvel movie, it is also amazing. It weaves together so many discarded plot lines into one cohesive story which feels like it has been silently building. The reveal of what the asterisks means, and the post credit scene are INCREDIBLE.
Overall solid movie, and AMAZING mcu film.
