The Exorcist

Starting off the month strong with William Friedkin’s, The Exorcist. None of the fear that this film creates is produced from any jump scares, but by purely making the audience scared of what is happening to Regan. The lack of any music during the exorcism scene strips everything down so that it feels so raw in the sense that it all feels real and you don’t know what will happen next. It really plays with your fear of wondering how Regan gets possessed by Pazuzu in the first place.
