Moonlight

This reminded me of a Belgian movie called Close, but the main characters are black instead of white and it takes place in the US instead of Belgium. A beautiful, very touching story. For a lot of people, Chiron's story must be relatable, which I think also makes it very valuable as an art piece. I will never forget the sadness I felt while watching the main character's life 'get better', but not actually get better (hence the ending, which was absolutely breath-taking and tear-inducing).
