Before Sunrise
Perfect film. Such a visceral poem of love.
Finds a way to tell you the tragic ending before it really starts, leaving a deep pit in your stomach while you’re uncontrollably smiling at such an authentic expression of puppy love.
Fighting delusion for a perfect spontaneous night.
Falling into delusion after a perfect spontaneous night.
Linklater’s dialogue is addicting, nuanced, beautiful, and all too relatable.
Love with an expiration date on the package and still choosing to accept it, just for the time you have.
It’s painful in all the right places. Taking what you know you can’t have and trying to convince yourself there’s a happier ending, when you know that’s not how impromptu adoration works out.
Fuck this film.
