Avatar

Crazy that I haven’t seen the Avatar movies before, and now I am lucky enough to see them for the first time before I go to the cinema to watch Fire & Ash in IMAX.  This movie is so stunning. The movie Avatar doesn’t deserve any lower rating than 5 simply because of the magical, beautiful world of Pandora. I can’t wait to watch The Way of Water and Fire & Ash and even play the videogame, I wanna endulge in everything Pandora has to offer. Literally any scene in this movie could be a wallpaper, it’s so fkn gorgeous. I certainly agree with some of it being cliche with the classic military corporal trope clappin his hands and giggling like a villain while he commits genocide against an indigenous tribe amd how it seems so over the top, but shit like this is actively going on, both against people and their nature. If you’re able to look away from the clicheness, then it’s such a phenomenal movie. I’m very glad I finally watched this and I can’t wait to see the sequels. This movie legit feels like a dream. I watched some production clips Disney+ offered, and the amount of work and expertise that has been involved in the production was sick. All from the fictional plants, biolumuscence, and also the creation of creatures and how they’re all largely inspired by real plants and animals in both their looks and how they’re connected to nature as a whole. I loved this. And it had me engaged throughout the whole film, which if I were to be honest many acclaimed «masterpieces» by film nerds on here often do not.
