about all i look for in movies is undoubtedly how human they can become. i would say this is a very good representation of the current ‘climate’ of the world and how people are dealing with it. therefore i would reward this for being very human. it just feels real. the empty conversations where seemingly nothing is gained. the unrelenting doom that fills a lot of people and how nothing gets accomplished about it. the world is so desensitized to the point where a headline becomes a joke almost immediately and we all just nod our heads and say well, what can you do. like my friend kyle has stated its also nice to see a film about the church that isnt entirely anti church (im not at all religious). i can see a benefit to the beliefs of the catholic church about inspiring community and helping those in need and even that is touched on here. on top of fantastic performances from seyfried and hawke, this is an absolute all timer. i will recommend this to everyone.
