Amélie
not to be personal on letterboxd of all places, but once my dad learned I wanted to be a filmmaker, he started to recommend me all the films he loves
And, let's just say, my dad's not the talkative type, but, unfortunately to him, I am
Now I see my father through all the cinema he loves, and that's how we communicate, that's how I learn about him
And so, imagine how I felt while watching Amelie, which is my dad's "I was such a big fan, there was a statement I did when I would watch it every day for a whole month"-film, and seeing all the communication with tv, riddles, photos
And fucking understanding.
