Titanic
What a film. James Cameron is such a genius for taking a tragic event like this and turning into a romance, making it even more tragic. I've often turned down watching this because of it's length but it's not noticeable at all when watching it, this movie flies by. The switches from 1912 to the 90s is so clever, it feels so much more real when you get to look at it far in the future from the event.
The scale is massive, and all the set pieces look beautiful, and the movie itself looks amazing. And the iconic music that everyone's heard in their lives, and it's so beautiful. Leo's favorite performance for me is still in Wolf of Wall Street but he's still incredible in this one.
I also love how this movie gives us alot of time to get to know these characters, and to feel for them instead of the crash happening 20 minutes into the movie. It makes it so much better and more impactful once it hits. Hopefully I get to see this in theaters one day, 30 year anniversary next year maybe?🤞
