Greatest opening to the greatest trilogy of all time Covers all genres from action, adventure, comedy and romance Has an amazing soundtrack that is combined with the amazing choreography of both ship battles and sword battles The CGI used for character design, especially the cursed crew and the overall world building and design of locations, characters and the ships is some of the best The introduction of characters like Sparrow and Barbossa and his crew is executed perfectly The introduction of the Black Pearl's crew in Port Royale made them look actually intimidating while maintaining the comedy The character of Captain Jack Sparrow is perfect, supported by the strong, whitty dialogue and body language, and by how unpredictable he is, and he has maybe the greatest entrance into a movie ever All characters are enjoyable, even the villains like Barbossa and his crew, and the English Even the side characters are strong such as Pintel and Raggetti from the Black Pearl's crew and English characters like Norrington and Governor Weatherby The pacing is good and every scene has great dialogue and acting Strong ending and is followed by the greatest sequel of all time
