I found this movie quite boring, which saddens me because I wished I could love this movie for the story it portrays. Keira Knightley is very good in her role as Charlotte but the vast majority of this movie is disinteresting. I really couldn’t get behind the animation and art style, and it really hindered a lot the emotional moments because it was so inexpressive. Despite only being like 90 minutes this movie feels like a marathon to get through. The ending feels both inevitable and rushed into, the tragedy doesn’t hit as hard because I struggled so much to get invested in this story. The real life story is so tragic and interesting, but I feel this movie does a poor job at conveying that. Not a bad movie but one that I really struggled to get invested in and enjoy.

If only I could meet Keira Knightley at a grocery store

So much fun watching Keira Knightley overthrow the patriarchy, I got a huge amount of enjoyment from any scene Keira was in. I wasn’t a huge fan of Jessie Buckley’s character, it felt like she was so rude to Keira Knightley and didn’t once consider her situation or the fact that she had already been the face of their movement. I don’t know what the deal was with Miss Sweden, it seemed like they were planning some plot with her helping take down the patriarchy but she ultimately does nothing by the end. A fun time despite the flaws, Keira Knightley is an incredible actress who I’d help take down the patriarchy with any day.

A pretty solid and fun action movie, and it has Keira Knightley so it was bound to be enjoyable. I’m not too familiar with the character of Jack Ryan so I’m not sure if this is a faithful adaptation of his character, but he’s pretty capable for a guy who’s been a financial analyst for most of his career. Keira Knightley is so fun in this movie, I love how she just flew out to Moscow to see if Jack was cheating on her and gets caught up in this whole plot while holding her own. Every actor puts in a good to decent performance, Chris Pine was a charismatic enough main character. The plot itself is a simple as simple can get but enjoyable enough. I found myself zoning out a lot watching this because it was a pretty simple movie that didn’t require a lot of focus. A good enjoyable and adequate movie that I had fun with!
