I think I need to still process this movie to understand it fully. Every character was so distinct yet so similar in a way I just can’t explain. There are just so many elements I love, mainly because of the way Wes Anderson directs - he really is just so special. Every element felt so intentional and impactful in so many ways, hence why I am still processing every detail. Idk I just think this was amazing and I love everything about it.

I enjoyed this. Although I did think the fashion overall was pretty lacklustre, and the music although fitting more modern standards was also not perfect with this movie. Continuing on with the modern aspects to this movie, I did enjoy how it didn’t focus as much on the first movie in a way and more shaped itself to fit the standards of our world today. But it did give so many easter eggs to the first movie, like the belts at the start, loved it so much. This is definitely one of the better sequel movies in my opinion, obviously forming itself to base off modern society and not trying to redo what the original movie was giving us (because it could never compare).

Actually looking into Mary Shelleys life, this movie did not portray her as the truth. She was not gentle, more bold and rebellious. She had her beliefs and she stuck with them no matter who or what got in the way. So this movie portraying her in this light is wrong. Although it still opened my mind to the perspectives of writers, especially when writing was a major way to express true emotion. Not saying that writing is a dying form of expression, it isn’t. We still write books, songs and movies. But originality and overall creativity, in my opinion, has decreased over time. That is from many differing factors. Frankenstein is more than just fiction, it’s a way to express one’s suffering, if it be through unique experiences or something a group has experienced but it was shamed upon to express that, and that to me it is just so interesting.
