It’s entertaining for the most part but I just don’t care about much going on. Like Bale does a great job as Bateman but I don’t really care about him, it’s really hard to when even Bateman doesn’t care much for himself. I also don’t really like the whole “it was all a dream” ending trope and I know it’s technically ambiguous but still.

This is kinda just boring for me, like I get it’s supposed to be about the small moments with parents and how special they can be but like it gets to a certain point man. Like this is just watching another family on vacation where nothing particularly interesting happens. It’s somewhat entertaining at times and their dynamic is cute but it just doesn’t make me feel anything. Also the ending was so overhyped for me I thought that shit would make me suicidal whole time it’s fine but nothing insane. I don’t think it’s awful or a bad movie, but I do think it’s overrated. It’s pretty to look at tho there were some pretty cool shots

I think this movie is borderline to ambitious for its time, the child acting aspect had never bothered me much when watching this series growing up but there were a few moments where Daniel Radcliffe’s acting was… questionable. The cgi was also unfortunately limited due to the time it was made in, especially that whole Werewolf sequence even though I don’t know that it’s as much a cgi problem as it is a design one. With that said though I still think it’s a great movie, the opening was strong, it did lose me a ring bit in the middle but the time travel sequence was amazing and tied the movie together so perfectly.

Saw this only cause Barry Jenkins directed it. It’s not the worst thing ever but just boring, predictable and kinda stupid. The music isn’t great either which doesn’t help, and more importantly the same problem with the other live action remakes is that live action drains the emotions out of animation; especially realistic lions. Very technically impressive but it really is just Disney showing off they *can* make something that looks this good but they’ve yet to shown a real reason why they *should*
