Heat
Finally got around to watching this, and oh my, is it incredible. Robert De Niro and Al Pacino are electrifying in every scene they share. Everything feels so crisp, the dialogue, the cinematography is sharp, deliberate, and meaningful. It’s a tense ride from start to finish. Whether it’s the personal relationships or the action sequences, everything is executed to perfection.
Centred around Two men utterly fixated on their goal both won’t stop at anything and throughout you see how similar they both are. Both go through failed relationships, both consumed by their professions. That parallel adds some realism to its intense plot.
It puts on display a purposeful narrative,I dint find it to be just a hero vs villain action flick its more than that.Underneath the tough guy persona there’s emotional deprivation and the cost of emotional unavailability that lurks beneath the surface.
All in all, it’s a masterclass in filmmaking that doesn’t miss a beat. Its pacing and narrative flow smoothly across the three hour runtime, and not a second of it is wasted.
